Internship opportunities in health care

Regions Hospital Critical Care Research Department performs clinical trials for critical care teams in the Emergency Room, ICUs and Burn Center. They are recruiting for an internship program geared towards those interested in research, PA, and medical school and will be on campus noon to 1pm on Tuesday, March 21 in Olin-Rice 100.

Interns get extra training (EMS ride alongside with a physician, CPR, EKG, violence prevention, cadaver labs, intubation and IO training, an international two day research summit hosted in Bloomington, along with many other learning opportunities). You'll be able to see all the things that go on in the Emergency Department most shifts are spent in the ED enrolling patients and screening our electronic medical record for potential patients. You'll have the opportunity to watch some minor ED procedures, plus network with all the ED staff and work with physicians on studies.

On average interns work 6-8 shifts a month that you pick to work around your school schedule. There are usually 10 interns in the group.

Lunch will be served. You must register on MC2 to attend.
